What is Ranked Choice Voting?

In all state and federal general elections, Alaskans have the opportunity to rank their favorite candidates from most to least favorite, rather than merely selecting one candidate. Ballots are counted in rounds. If a candidate gets 50% + 1 vote in round one, they win. Candidates are eliminated until two candidates remain and the candidate with the most votes wins.
